A Year on the Farm

Spring is the beautiful lift-off after winter when new life emerges in the sheltered area set aside as a ‘maternity unit’ for lambing, and in the old stables where the goat kids are born.

Summer is a time for watching our stock enjoying being out on the grass , and catching up on all the jobs requiring better weather.

Autumn is a busy time as we plan for next year.
We have to make decisions about whether we have new animals joining us this year and what we shall we need to set up for them.
And of course the apples in the orchard are ready to pick for juice and cider.

This is a quiet season on the farm where we focus on keeping the animals warm and happy until the sun comes back.
